Sherrys Easter is a rare commodity: a very tall, well built reining horse who is agile enough to compete with the little guys. In Sherry's show days, she was admired for her great slides and also known as "the spinning-est girl in the barn", once launching her owner, an experienced reiner, into orbit! Sherry has earned close to $1100 in NRHA competition as well as accumulating some AQHA reining points. She has won the following titles during her years of competition:
* 1994 Champion Amateur Reining -- Maryland State Quarter Horse Association
* 1994 Champion Open Reining -- Maryland State Quarter Horse Association
* 1995 Champion Rookie Reining -- Eastern Pennsylvania Reining Horse Association
* 1998 Champion Open Reining -- Eastern Pennsylvania Reining Horse Association
Believe it or not, Sherry's one colt is even larger than she is, and still a successful competitive reiner. Sherry has a "queenly" personality--very calm and dignified. She also has one of the prettiest heads you will ever see.
Sherry's first foal for us, foaled on Easter Sunday morning 2005, is a long legged filly with a very refined head and a lot of athletic ability. It looks likely that she is an unusual combination of grey body color with strong dun factor markings. This filly's sire is Buck N Badger, a line bred (27%) Joe Hancock stallion who once stood at stud with the famed reining sire, Easter Gentleman (Sherry's sire). Though Buck N Badger did not have the opportunity to be campaigned as a reiner, he consistently produces athletic foals with sensible, willing dispositions and a whole lot of "cow." We think "Sunday" is an excellent candidate for reining, reined cow horse, or cutting.
